Smaaash, Lower Parel - Mumbai

'★★★' Smash it up. Go-Karting was the thing which led us to this virtual reality gaming cum sports center. Little did we know that they also had a nice pub tucked inside this big property. I am not going to review smash games and sports here as I really want to write about their food. We didn’t have our lunch and we were starving like anything. This pub is not a big place for a hang out as people come here to enjoy and not to eat. I was weirdly proud of the fact that these places don’t serve good food. But smaaash changed it.

Garlic Bread

'Cheese garlic bread'

Me, My wife & my sister, we all have an affinity for pizza and breads so we simply ordered the safest food i.e. pizza & garlic bread. We all knew that we just had to fill our tummy to play some games coz we were sure that the food will not be great. Garlic bread took 15-20 minutes but it was worth a wait. They were very much tempting. If you generally encounter some nice garlic cheese breads in some other café, you have to try these ones too. Lot of cheese and smelled heavenly. It’s got a cheesy-savory-garlicky thing going on and the subtle spice was seriously an addictive twist to it. All in all, it was a fabulous affair despite the fact that it’s a gaming zone.

Smaaash Pizza

'Thin crust pizza'

For years, pizza has been the favorite thing for youth in India. Pizza, holding its own against all time greats such as burgers, sandwiches and vada paav, has become somewhat of a staple on Indian menu and on its table. The smaaash pizza was the thin crust one filled with cheese, onions & capsicum. If you really can’t ever be bothered to get this pizza going for a quick snack, it makes a pretty good dinner option too. The best part of both these dishes was the quality of cheese they use.

Lastly: Training of the staff, safe and enjoyable environment, up-to-date machines and not to miss the quality of food makes the visit a memorable one. The Price of food is not too high or too low. However the post is especially for their food but this huge gaming zone didn’t disappoint at all. I have been to some nice entertainment places like this in NCR (Not their gurgaon property) but I enjoyed the food and games here more. Go- karting is a must to do thing here as its on the terrace of a building. They have updated their menu while I am writing this review and the menu is very much tempting. I really wish they would have done it earlier. I hope their gurgaon joint also serves succulent & yummy food like Mumbai.
